I know not everyone is interested in this sort of thing, but I'm a nosey parker and love finding out what other folk got for their birthdays! I find this sort of thing is really handy too with Christmas coming up (blimeyyyy..). Maybe as inspiration for friends' presents or popping your 'rents in the right direction when they're asking what you'd like.. I know it helps my Ma out when I give her a bit more to go on!
A few bits I've included in this post aren't actually in the 'What I Got For My Birthday' video below.. Some were things I picked up after birthday celebrations and others had to be cut out when my camera decided to have a stressy-fit and film a whole load of clips out of focus. Great times! The cashmere socks from The White Company were a ridiculous luxury I'd been lusting after for months so I was super duper happy to unwrap them! I know they're probably a silly expense, but I've definitely made it to that quality over quantity stage. And my tootsies are going to feel freaking faaabulous.
Post birthday I did pick up my first ever Chanel purchase. I tried this a few weeks ago on a shoot and loved it, so decided it was a suitable 'to me, love me' treat. A big part of me did want to flounce round Meadowhall with that Chanel bag (albeit a tiny one, and only of the card variety) feeling like a sassy 24 year old, but it is a really lovely product that makes my foundation free skin look a whole lot better.
There are a few more birthday bits in the video, as well as recent purchases that I threw in there too. Oh, and do what you can to ignore the graininess in the pictures above. I'm just getting my head around the clocks going back and the fact that there's now about a 3 hour window to get good lighting. Boo.
